Violence erupted inside a popular Buckhead restaurant in Atlanta yesterday, killing one person and leaving a family in deep mourning.

According to Fox5Atlanta, the parents of 22-year-old Nygil Cullins, Quiten and Mya Cullins were desperately trying to get professional help for their son, just minutes before he was shot dead by Atlanta police officers inside Fogo de Chao. Hours before the deadly shooting, Maya was on the phone with emergency responders trying to convince Nigel of a mental health facility they had.
“My biggest fear when I talk to them on the phone – I said, ‘He’s an African-American man, please make sure someone is trained and intelligent, so when they treat my son, I have to think about him. Not being killed, ”he said.
Maya says Nigel left her home and “not even 30 to 40 minutes later, she was in the news.”
The security guard was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Cullins has no qualms about the fact that he believes the Atlanta police failed them all because they could not stop him from leaving Nigel’s apartment in time. The GBI will conduct an investigation into the officers who carried out the shootings and the Fulton County DA will decide on possible disciplinary action.
