Son of a West Coast hip hop icon DJ Quick He is facing serious charges after a fatal fight this week. Hip Hop DX Report David Blake Jr. One was arrested for Allegations of criminal murder. On the evening of May 25, police responded to a call Wednesday about a fight in downtown California, about 13 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles.
“As the officers were on their way, a second call of gunfire was heard. Responsive officers came and took position Julius CardozaDowney, a 33-year-old resident, suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest, “Downey said in a statement.
An ambulance took Cardoza to a nearby hospital, where he later died of his injuries. After Downy detectives identified Blake as a suspected shooter, he was arrested at the City of Porter Ranch at 4 a.m. the next day.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Downey PD is still trying to get the public to come up with more information but claims “the incident seems isolated and there is no threat to the public.” Blake is still being held on 2 million bail.
The 27-year-old is currently in contact with Compton’s obstructed City Councilman Isaac Galvan.
Galvan was charged by the LA County District Attorney’s Office with conspiracy to influence an election in August 2021 while serving as a councilor, and conspiracy to take bribes, after prosecutors alleged he received a fraudulent vote in the June 2021 runoff election. Compton officials responded by pushing back law enforcement agencies, saying “the city is shocked to learn of this incident.” Blake will be sent back to court on May 31.
