Sure, the double cat always looks flawless when it comes to any red carpet, but when it hit the Billboard Music Awards last night, it was literally brilliant. The fact that she wore one of my favorite designers, the Schiaparelli, was just icing on the cake. Her eyeshadow crease was as sharp as the neckline of her dress and when pulled together, the whole look was really out of this world. I guess that’s why he chose to rock a Shiapareli planet bag to complete the look. While not all of us may have access to the high-end designers she impressed with last night’s show, I’m here to make your day complete and to show that we, in fact, have access to Doza Cat’s skincare routine.

Her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, is publishing it on her Instagram, including how she created the perfect base layer for Doza Cat’s makeup last night.

“Preparing the skin is essential for a bright complexion,” he wrote. “I used my favorite TheOrdinary and DECIEM products to create a well hydrated and healthy complexion as the basis of my makeup.”

Casillas then listed exactly what he used and let me tell you, the total cost of the whole routine is only $ 41 thanks to the very affordable TikTok-favorite brand. It is fully accessible and if you do not want to get the whole set you can buy some of these products. Here is a breakdown of what he used to prepare the look for the top R&B album award winner last night.

After cleansing, Casillas “flooded the skin” with a combination of two The Ordinary products. First, he used niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% serum and mixed it with hyaluronic acid 2% + B5 serum. Niacinimide is a vitamin B3 compound known for its anti-inflammatory properties as well as being able to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid increases instant moisture in the skin, so when used together, Casillas was able to create the perfect canvas for makeup.

Generic niacinamide serum costs only $ 11.70 and hyaluronic acid costs only. 13.50, so you can prepare your skin for only .20 25.20 when using these together. It doesn’t sound serious in the skincare world, but there is something special about The Ordinary. This is constantly going viral on TikTok because the products contain powerful formulations of ingredients that actually make a noticeable difference in your skincare routine at no cost.

After hydrating her skin and toning out the serum combination in the evening, Casillas seals the deal with a moisturizer that contains amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides and more. The result is a total hydration shield that is ready to apply makeup. Casillas wrote on Instagram that he has applied a “generous layer” of NMF moisturizer, so don’t be afraid to use more than one dot for total facial coverage. If you feel that you need to exfoliate before you start this skincare process (you notice dry, flaky skin, dull skin, etc.),

Casillas recommends using glycolic acid 7% toner to slowly close dead skin cells for a complete reset before starting the above procedure.

The total cost of the complete routine listed above is only $ 41, so seriously if your makeup has not been sitting well on your face lately or caking more than usual, try combo to create a hydrated and bright base layer for your makeup application.
