A Kentucky Fried Chicken Tennessee (KFC) workers saved the life of a woman who was abducted after she saw a note from a woman asking for help and took action.
This past Sunday evening, a KFC worker in Memphis reacted quickly when he read a note left by a female customer that read, “Begging for help.” NBC News reports that the incident took place at a KFC located at 6262 Winchester Road.
Police arrived at the restaurant shortly after 5pm, where they found the alleged victim and her alleged abductor. The man was identified as 23-year-old Diego Glee. When the police approached him, Glee ran away. It didn’t take long for the police to catch him and arrest him.
According to a press release, the woman traveled by Greyhound bus from another state to meet Glay. However, there was a heated exchange between the two and when the woman tried to leave several times, Glee complained that she did not allow him.
NBC News reports that the woman accused Gleck of abusing her by punching her in the face, stealing her phone, and forbidding her to stay in front of him for more than a day, if not anywhere else. He is currently being held in Shelby County Jail on 35,000 bond. He is accused of avoiding abduction and arrest.
