The singer welcomed a healthy baby boy on May 27, announcing the birth of her son K’ziah Jean Darring on her Instagram account this week.
In March, KK shared with fans that her unborn baby had been diagnosed with Trisomy 33, a genetic disorder that occurs when a baby has an extra 13th chromosome. This disorder can lead to intellectual disabilities or physical abnormalities, including extra fingers and toes or chapped lips.
But, the cake had its own plan …
Wyatt insisted he would choose a “Lord’s report” based on what the doctors told him, saying the medical expert’s advice was to finish their baby early. Nevertheless, Keke and her husband Zakaria David Daring decide to complete the pregnancy, which fortunately gave birth to a healthy baby.
“Most of you are familiar with the challenges I faced during this pregnancy,” the singer wrote in her caption after announcing the birth of her son. “My husband and I decided not to take the advice of a medical expert to finish our baby early despite the positive trisomy 13 test results.”
He continued, “We praise and thank God for all the doctors in the medical field. However, I can’t stress enough for all mothers and couples when Dr. gives you life-changing information about your unborn child. Pray about it, use faith, and follow your spirit before making a final decision. We believe in the Lord’s report and after holding our beautiful healthy baby boy Ke’jah and looking him in the eye, I’m glad we did. “
“We both believe and know that God’s final word is and will continue,” Wyatt concluded in his caption. “Thanks to my nurse Ebony. Thank you all for your prayers and support for ShugaS. “
Ke’Zyah is Wyatt’s 11th child and ninth biological child, a daughter of her ex-husband Michael Ford and a daughter of her current husband Zachariah, whom she calls her own. Keke and Zakaria also share a son named Ke’ria David, who was born in 2020.
Congratulations to the happy couple in their growing family!
