Corsets, hats, chaps and petticoats are all on the list of weirdly named clothing items (none of which originated in this century). Just as I thought we’ve moved on to completely casual clothing names, Kim Kardashian’s “pantaboot” obsession has been revealed. Kim Kardashian has already come out in style twice this week which raises the question: what are pantaboots and why does Kim Kardashian wear them?
Unlike the resurgence of corsets, pantaboots do not have a long history (or whatever, in reality) in the fashion industry. The shoe-tight-pants combination is a new phenomenon that can be credited to designers like Balenciaga. The style often starts with toe-heeled boots that extend to the feet in monochrome velvet, nylon or spandex material চাই I like to think of them as knee-over-the-knee jeggings. The sleek continuous shape of the pantaboot has a superhero effect and instantly lengthens the wearer’s silhouette – which is why the style has become a favorite with celebrities and paparazzi run-ins.
In addition to the prolonged effects of pantaboots (wow, I feel stupid every time I write names), there are two possible main reasons why Kim Kardashian wears them. The first, and most obvious, Kardashian is Balenciaga’s most recent face — his short Dolce & Gabbana, out of Luke’s set for his sister’s wedding, he rarely refrains from wearing the brand.

I’ve personally been given Kim Kardashian’s Tiktok ad — in which she stands in an empty room and types on her phone at least four times a day after wearing hot pink pantboots (yes, I spend a lot of time on tickets).
Another reason I imagine Kim Kardashian wears pantaboots so often is that once you pick up a pair, they seem hard to take off. As Kardashian has made it abundantly clear with her met gala Marilyn Monroe outfit, once she gets a hard look, she will be committed to it. Of all the importance, the curve-hugging style is well aligned with Kardashian’s personal SKIMS brand. By wearing Balenciaga’s pantaboot, he is strengthening the concept of shapewear and offering it to fans at a more accessible price point.

The versatile reality star has also shown that Pantaboot works on almost any occasion. She has been on the front lines of fashion shows, met gala red carpets and even running a CVS job. Most recently, his favorite occasion to rock Pantabut was Date Night.

Kim Kardashian has only been seen in style twice this week, with Pete Davidson wearing a much more casual outfit. The couple arrived in the UK before the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and Kim Kardashian was shopping for a pair of champagne-colored pantyhose. She paired the look with a simple zip-up hoodie, a Balenciaga Le Cagole bag, and sporty sunglasses.

Just a day before the couple’s shopping outing, Kardashian wore a full-black version of Look Out for dinner. The outfit is almost identical with a slight change in the shape of the sunglasses from sporty to alien. I personally would love to see Kim Kardashian try some alternative styles বিশেষ especially since she came to her own fashion field after her divorce from Kanye West. However, I respect his continuity and commitment to a signature look. It is safe to say that if you do not consider pantyhose to be a trend you can reverse, then you can at least follow the lead of Kim Kardashian and start repeating the outfit without any shame.
