Originally scheduled for release today, Wednesday, May 25, the YEEZY GAP website has a message about the tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which has postponed the drop until this Friday.
“In light of the tragedy in Uwalde, Texas, we are suspending the Yezi Gap, engineered by the Balenciaga launch, until Friday, May 27,” the site reads. “When we take a break, our hearts go out to the affected families and communities.”
Not much is known about the drop, designed by Kanye West and Balenciaga creative director Demna Gavasalia, but it was teased a few weeks ago in the rapper’s recent “Life of the Party” music video.
In addition to hoodies, T-shirts, sweatpants, and denim jackets that were released in the first drop on February 22, engineer YEEZY GAP by Balenciaga will release anoraks, puffy jackets, coats, and possibly some warm sleeping bags. High Snobiity.
As a price point, the first collection items were not particularly cheap, but the items were still much more affordable than the Balenciaga main line collection; T-shirts cost $ 140, hoodies cost $ 240, and denim jackets cost $ 440.
